History:
- Born to a family of Ishgardian lumberers, raised loving the wilds surrounding the city-state
- Invited to the Scholasticate for his aptitude, tormented by the other highborn students there
- When the Calamity was coming, morbid curiosity struck and he did a bunch of research on voidsent to try and scare them away
- Almost taunted into jumping from Witchdrop, and made the stupid impulsive decision to summon a demon
- Lost control during the summoning, accidentally ingested the crystal he was using during the ritual and fused with the demon, attacking his would-be assailants in the chaos
- Knew that if he stuck around, he would've been tried for heresy and his parents punished for his stupid idea
- Fled to Eorzea to figure out what happened to him, became a thaumaturge mercenary to get by using his affinity for destructive magic
- Dawning on 5 years since his mistake, he's no closer with finding peace with himself, and hones his rage as a warrior

He learned the basics of botany and carpentry from his parents, and that’s part of why he feels so comfortable using an axe as a Warrior
His surname, Nasturtium, is derived from the flower which represents strength, victory and conquest
He tried to name his chocobo Dirt at first, and then when prompted to think of a better name for him by the chocobokeep, Nick decided to call him Volg - named after an Ishgardian black chocobo, a steadfast companion to one of Nick’s ancestors
